GPSR product page requirements: what Article 19 asks from online offers
GPSR states that certain product-safety information must be clearly and visibly indicated in distance-sale offers. For webshops, the product page is therefore an important compliance checkpoint.
Why this matters
Article 19 lists the manufacturer’s name/trade name or trademark plus postal and electronic contact address. Where the manufacturer is not established in the EU, information on the responsible person in the EU is also listed.
What Merqivio checks
The offer should also contain information that allows product identification, including a picture, type and other identifier. Warnings or safety information required under GPSR or applicable EU harmonisation legislation should also be clearly available in the offer.
- ✓ Manufacturer name/trade name/trademark
- ✓ Postal + electronic contact address
- ✓ EU Responsible Person where applicable
- ✓ Picture, type and product identifier
- ✓ Applicable warnings/safety information in understandable language
💰 The cost of doing nothing
A generic footer containing only your own company details is not automatically the same as product-specific manufacturer and safety information. A page can look commercially complete while relevant GPSR signals remain unclear.
From free check to remediation plan
Start free with a sample of up to 10 product pages. After payment, the €9.95 report starts a full background scan of all publicly discoverable product pages (max. 5,000) and is emailed automatically when ready. The €39.95 Complete GPSR Fix Plan adds concrete solutions per issue group. If you buy the report first, the later upgrade costs €30.

Must safety information appear on every product page?
Article 19 refers to warnings or safety information required under GPSR or applicable harmonisation legislation, so applicability can differ by product.
