MERQIVIO GPSR PRODUCT SAFETY SCAN

Check your product pages for visible GPSR risks

The free GPSR Quick Scan checks a sample of up to 10 publicly accessible product pages. A paid report or Fix Plan then starts a separate full catalogue scan in the background.

EU

What the free GPSR check looks for

  • Manufacturer name and visible contact details
  • Manufacturer postal and electronic contact address
  • EU Responsible Person signal where it may be relevant
  • Product identification such as SKU, GTIN, MPN or type
  • Product image and warning/safety information

The scan assesses publicly visible signals and cannot independently determine every product-specific rule that applies. The result is indicative and is not legal advice.

Free GPSR check for online stores

The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) has applied since 13 December 2024 to many consumer products offered in the EU. Online product offers must also display relevant safety and traceability information.

Which stores is this GPSR scanner for?

WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento, Shopware and other publicly accessible online stores offering consumer products in the EU. No installation or password is required.

What does the GPSR scan check?

Merqivio reviews product pages externally, as a shopper, marketplace or external reviewer sees them. It looks for manufacturer details, contact information, product identification, an EU Responsible Person where relevant and visible warnings or safety information.

What the free GPSR scan does and does not prove

The Quick Scan reviews a sample of up to 10 public product pages and highlights risk signals. It is not a legal certificate and cannot independently determine every product-specific obligation. The full report investigates the publicly discoverable catalogue more extensively.

Frequently asked questions about the GPSR check

Is the GPSR scan really free?

Yes. The Quick Scan of up to 10 public product pages is free and requires no account.

Does the GPSR checker work with WooCommerce and Shopify?

Yes. It runs externally and is not limited to one ecommerce platform.

Do I need to install a plugin?

No. Enter a domain or product URL; Merqivio uses publicly visible information.

Does a high score prove full GPSR compliance?

No. It means many checked visible signals were found, but does not prove that every product and business obligation is fulfilled.

What is included in the paid GPSR report?

It identifies reviewed product pages, detected signals and concrete findings. Executable remediation steps remain in the separate Fix Plan.

EU LAW UPDATE · 21-08-2026

Our scanners follow current EU rules

Merqivio maintains its scan criteria as EU legislation changes. On 21 August 2026 the checks below were revalidated against the official texts.

PPWR: packaging and PFAS

Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR) applies from 12 August 2026. PFAS concentration limits now apply to food-contact packaging. The GPSR/Product Safety Scan therefore flags relevant food and food-contact products for packaging-compliance and traceability review. Merqivio does not automatically fail a page merely because a PFAS test result is not publicly displayed.

EUR-Lex · Regulation (EU) 2025/40

Why this matters

Failure to comply with applicable EU consumer, product-safety and market rules can lead to enforcement, corrective measures, sales restrictions and — depending on the rule and national enforcement — financial penalties. A Merqivio scan is an automated risk assessment, not legal advice.
