The free Accessibility Quick Scan checks up to 5 representative public pages for automatable WCAG 2.2 and EAA risk signals. A paid report or Fix Plan then starts a separate extended site scan in the background.
Updated September 2026: EN 301 549 V4.1.1 and the new WCAG 2.2 criteria have been added as readiness checks. They do not yet change the current legal assessment or score until the new standard is formally cited as a harmonised EU reference.
What Merqivio checks automatically
- Alt text and accessible names for images, links and buttons
- Labels and accessible names for form controls
- Page language, titles, headings and landmarks
- Focus signals, tabindex and mobile zoom
- Potential contrast issues, ARIA references, tables, iframes and video captions
Automated tests can identify many technical defects, but they cannot assess every WCAG criterion. Full WCAG conformance also requires human evaluation and context.
Possible EAA exemption for microenterprises: Microenterprises providing services may be exempt under the EAA. Merqivio does not automatically determine whether your business legally qualifies for that exemption.
We do not need access to your webshop
Merqivio checks only information and technical signals that are publicly reachable from the internet. Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento, Shopware, OpenCart or custom-built: our external scans do not require an admin account.
Available checks vary by scan and platform. WordPress-specific Security checks and the Merqivio Security plugin apply only to WordPress/WooCommerce.
